Espro launched the construction of the A-Park industrial park in Kaluga. The park will be built on 20-ha land plot on the territory of the industrial zone Grabtsevo, next to the Volkswagen factory.
The industrial park project will be comprised of manufacturing, warehousing and office facilities with an overall surface of 100,000 sq m. A-Park is a park of suppliers and manufacturers of auto parts which among otherthings will service the Volkswagen factory. The project is being implemented through the patronage of the Kaluga Administration. The project participants in the project are the Corporation forthe Development of the Kaluga Oblast (an organization created by the Kaluga Oblast Government) and Espro Development acting as the developers of the project. The investment in the project represents 100 million Euros and should be completed in 2012.
The construction of the first phase on a 6.6-ha land plot will be completed in 2010 and will be comprised of31,000 sq m of manufacturing surfaces and 3,000 sq m of offices. The amount of the investment forthe first phase represents 30 million euros.
At the present time negotiations are being conducted with some major car brands, including such major auto parts suppliers as Visteon and Benteler.
The Corporation forthe Development of the Kaluga region was founded in 2007 by the Government of the Kaluga region and is responsible forthe creation and development of an infrastructure of industrial parks and technoparks on the territory of the Kaluga region.
